What is a sample sale?
Simply defined, a sample sale is when we sell the gowns that our brides try on in store, at a discounted price. At a sample sale you can find designer dresses at up to 50% off their original price. At a sample sale, you will buy the discounted dress right off the rack.
What to expect at a sample sale
At The Poinsett Bride, we host semi-annual sample sales. You will still be required to make an appointment to shop during our sample sale. At The Poinsett Bride, our sample dresses are typically a size 12. This tends to fit a “street size” 8 or smaller.
The dresses offered during each sample sale will depend on inventory and designers, but sample sales are a great way to get a gorgeous dress of your dreams, and leave with some extra cash in your pocket. If you have a budget, and you are going to stick with it, then a sample sale is a fabulous option!
How to make the most of a sample sale
To make the most of the time you have at your sample sale appointment we have a few pointers. First, it’s great if you come in with an idea of what styles of dresses you like, and it’s especially helpful if you’ve gone dress shopping beforehand.
These are important tips because when you come in for a sample sale, you will want to come in with a ready to buy attitude. You will only have this chance to buy the dress at the discounted price!
Remember, we offer tailor and alteration services in house! This is great news for you, because you may find a nearly perfect dress for a great price at our sample sale, and you can take advantage of our services to make minor alterations and changes to make the dress totally perfect. A great example of this is adding sleeves to a dress that doesn’t have them initially!
Sample sales are not only great for brides on a budget, but they are great for brides who may also be on a tight schedule, because you will buy off the rack and can take the dress home with you that day.
