MEET OUR ALTERATIONS TEAM

EVERY FITTING APPOINTMENT YOU’LL NEED:

Depending on the dress style, approximately 3 fittings are recommended. Fitting appointments typically start 2 months prior to the wear date (whether for bridal portraits or your wedding day). Please bring any special undergarment desired for these fittings, as well as shoes.

THE PERFECT FIT:

At the 1st fitting, your Seamstress-Designer will adjust and pin the dress in all the right places, usually around the bodice and hips.

THE HEM:

To ensure the hem length is to your specifications please bring the shoes you plan to wear to your fitting. We want every layer to be just right – in fact, perfect for your wedding day.

THE BUSTLE:

If your dress has a train, a bustle is definitely recommended. This prevents the train from dragging during the reception. A Seamstress-Designer will discuss the different bustle options with you.

Bustle options include:

• American Style: created with clear buttons and loops, lifting the train over to the proper area on the back
• French Style: created with multiple ribbons, tied under the dress for a delicate fold
• Original Style: created to suit the dress style or the bride’s vision.
